I can say that pinterest is my favorite form of social media. When I need some new ideas on what to wear to school, I look at pintrest. When I want to look for things for my future house, I look at pinterest. When I want to do something different with my hair, I look at pintrest. I look on pinterest for everything. You can tell what styles are in just by looking at the feed. It's hard not to notice...the 90's are back! What goes around comes around, and this is one thing that certainly fits that phrase. Scrunchies are back, mom jeans are here, overalls are cool again, and I could not be happier in this world of fashion. One thing that really caught my eye were the bandanas. I've been seeing pictures of them being worn as headbands and some of them being tied around ponytails. I wanted to take this idea and make something sort of new out of it. I started sewing fabric into long pieces that are able to tie around my hair. The first few I made needed some work, but they got better as I figured out what sewing strategies worked better and what sizes I needed to cut out. I love having these around because they turn a simple t-shirt and jeans into a style that is more eye catching. Wearing them always makes me feel cute and confident. I haven't seen girls wearing these before I made them and I think it would be so cool if it turns into a new trend.
